You can contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
What personal Information do we collect from Users of our Websites?
When you register for our newsletter or one of our free offerings, such as a teleseminar, webinar or pdf or audio download, we collect your name and e-mail address and store them on the Mailchimp servers, our chosen & fully GDPR-compliant e-mail list provider.
When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
When do we collect Information?
In the case of our free offerings or email newsletter, we gather your name and e-mail at the time of registering. We will make it clear to you that your name and e-mail are being gathered. In the case of commenting, we collect the data when you post the comment.
If disabling cookies in your browser
If you turn cookies off, some of the features that make your site experience more efficient may not function properly.
Embedded content from other websites
Articles and posts on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.
Why do we collect your Information?
We collect your personal information when you sign up for our newsletter, register to a webinar or use certain other site features in order to:
- Personalize your user experience.
- Post the comments you submit through our website.
- Stay in touch with you through e-mails.
How do we use your Information?
We use your personal information in order to:
- Serve you an optimal user experience.
- Communicate, as and when needed, with you individually or through broadcasts to our mailing lists.
Other Service Providers who we share your data with
We share site data with the following third party service providers in order to deliver you content, allow you to register for courses and events, and send you emails:
Features Enabled on our Website and data collected:
Data Used: If Akismet is enabled on the site, the form submission data — IP address, user agent, name, email address, website, and message — is submitted to the Akismet service (also owned by Automattic) for the sole purpose of spam checking. The actual submission data is stored in the database of the site on which it was submitted and is emailed directly to the owner of the form (i.e. the site author who published the page on which the contact form resides). This email will include the submitter’s IP address, timestamp, name, email address, website, and message.
Data Synced: Post and post meta data associated with a user’s comment form submission. If Akismet is enabled on the site, the IP address and user agent originally submitted with the comment are synced, as well, as they are stored in post meta.
Activity Tracked: This feature sends page view events (and potentially video play events) over to Google Analytics for consumption.
Data Used: Any of the visitor-chosen search filters and query data in order to process a search request on the WordPress.com servers.
By default WordPress which hosts this website does not share any personal data with anyone.
What rights you have over your data
If you have left comments you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
You can access and/or change your personal information in our emails by clicking the “Preferences” link in the footer of the e-mail.
How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue. If you subscribe to your newsletter, you’ll send you emails until you unsubscribe. We’ll retain your data denoting you as “unsubscribed” indefinitely or until you request deletion.
How do you unsubscribe from receiving future emails?
Click the “Unsubscribe”-button at the bottom of each email and we will promptly remove you from ALL correspondence.
Where we send your data
Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.
How do we protect your information?
We implement a variety of security measures when a user submits or accesses their information to maintain the safety of your personal information.
Your personal information is contained behind secured networks, and is encrypted via Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology. It is only accessible by a limited number of persons who have special access rights to such systems, and are required to keep the information confidential.
Occasionally, at our discretion, we may include or offer third-party products or services on our website. These third-party sites have separate and independent privacy policies. We therefore have no responsibility or liability for the content and activities of these linked sites. Nonetheless, we seek to protect the integrity of our site and welcome any feedback about these sites.
